Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team completed a road sweep of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, taking Saturday night's game by the score of 9-5. (UL won game 1 on Saturday, get a full game recap of the victory here)

The 14th ranked Cajuns improved to 7-1 on the young season, extending their winning streak to 7. Louisiana's offense was hot from the start, as all but 1 in the starting lineup registered a hit.

Junior Caleb Adams was magnificent, going 4-5 for a triple, three doubles, and an RBI. As a team, the Cajuns finished with 12 hits on the night.

On the mound, senior left-hander Cody Boutte earned his first victory of the young season, going five innings, allowing only 2 runs on 4 hits. He fanned 4 batters, only walking 1. It marks the 9th career win for the New Iberia native.

Greg Milhorn and Ben Carter combined for 2 scoreless innings of relief and 3 strikeouts.

With a series sweep in hand, the Cajuns will head back to Lafayette Sunday morning, with their eyes set on Baton Rouge. Next up for Louisiana, a Tuesday night road matchup with the LSU Tigers.

Third ranked LSU is 6-0, demolishing Toledo earlier on Saturday (game recap here).
