The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team snapped a two game skid Thursday night, beating Arkansas State 72-60 to earn the season sweep of the Red Wolves.

"It's great to be back home," head coach Garry Brodhead said.  "Offensively we were pretty good; defensively we let them get inside too much in the first half, but we made some adjustments."

Freshman Jasmine Thomas led the way for the Cajuns (11-6, 5-3 Sun Belt) with 21 points and seven rebounds.  Simone Fields had 14 points and six boards, while Jaylyn Gordon added 12 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Brittany Fowler led four Red Wolves (4-16, 2-6) in scoring with 22 points.

Louisiana outrebounded the Red Wolves 46-26, led in points in the paint 44-20 and in points off turnovers 26-10 as the Cajuns forced 18 Arkansas State turnovers.

"To me it's very important to lead in rebounding,"  Brodhead said.  "If you do that and keep your turnovers down, you have a great chance to win."

The Cajuns led by just three points, 48-45 going into the fourth quarter, but as was the case in Jonesboro earlier in the season, dominated the fourth quarter to get the win.

The Cajuns are back in action Saturday against league-leading Little Rock.  Tipoff time is 5:00pm
