Cajuns' Announce Women's Basketball Schedule For 2014-15

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team begins their season in less than two months, and coach Garry Brodhead (pictured above) is excited about his team's home schedule.

"We are working extremely hard and are very excited about this upcoming season with this being our second season in the Cajundome and having an opportunity to play 16 home games in front of the great Cajun Fans," Brodhead said in a school press release. "The opportunity also to bring in an SEC opponent in Mississippi State as well as perennial powerhouse Louisiana Tech gives us a chance to measure were we stand before heading into the conference schedule."

The Cajuns will play only 1 game at Earl K. Long Gym on campus, when they host Louisiana Tech on November 22nd. The rest of their home games will be at the Cajundome, including a number of women's/men's doubleheaders.

"We are also excited for our Cajun fans that wanted us to play more home doubleheaders. We will play 11 doubleheaders this year in the Cajundome," Broadway noted. "This gives our Cajun fans a great opportunity to support both the men's and women's basketball programs as well as seeing some great basketball."

Conference play for the Cajuns begins on December 30th with a trip to Little Rock, marking the beginning of a lengthy Sun Belt schedule.

"Our conference schedule will be stretched out to a 20-game schedule that presents a very grueling but very competitive schedule," said Brodhead.
