Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team won their 20th game of the season Wednesday night, earning a victory in dramatic fashion over the McNeese State Cowgirls by the score of 5-4 in extra innings.

Trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the 7th inning, Lexie Elkins hit an RBI single to tie the game, forcing extra innings.

Louisiana left the bases loaded in the bottom of the 8th, but not the 9th.

With runners all around again the bottom of the 9th, Taylor Terrio slapped an RBI single to give the Cajuns the walk off win, increasing their win streak to 14 straight, the second longest in the NCAA (FSU is 1st).

Alex Stewart pitched the first 6 innings in the circle for the Cajuns, allowing 8 hits, 4 runs, 3 earned runs, and struck out 8.

Kylee Jo Trahan relieved her in the 7th, allowing no walks, one hit and fanning one Cowgirl batter.

Louisiana finished with 14 hits. Five different Cajuns had multiple hits, including Lexie Elkins and Hayley Hayden who had 3 each. Aleah Craighton, Sara Corbello and Terrio had 2 apiece.

Next up for the Cajuns, a trip to Arlington, Texas for a weekend conference series with the UT-Arlington Mavericks.

A doubleheader is scheduled for Saturday at 1:00, with a single game Sunday slated for noon.
