Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team led the state with 8 selections on the All-Louisiana team.

The Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) announced their selections Saturday.

Five Cajuns earned 1st team honors, with three Cajuns landing on the 2nd team.

All-American catcher Lexie Elkins was named the LSWA Hitter of the Year, while her teammate Alex Stewart was honored as the LSWA Pitcher of the Year.

Joining Elkins and Stewart on the 1st team is Shellie Landry, Aleah Craighton and Haley Hayden.

Kara Gremillion, DJ Sanders and Sara Corbello made All-Louisiana 2nd team.
