Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team began the season ranked 15th in the country, but finished the year higher in the polls.

After going 49-10-1, winning the Sun Belt Conference, earning a national seed, hosting a regional, hosting a super regional, winning both, and qualifying for their 6th NCAA Women's College World Series in school history, Louisiana finishes 8th postseason USA Today/NFCA Division-I coaches poll and ESPN/USA Softball polls.

Louisiana is poised to earn a top 10 ranking in the 2015 polls next February. Seniors Natalie Fernandez and Shelbi Redfearn have graduated, but the rest of the club's core will return. Sun Belt Conference pitcher of the year Christina Hamilton, the 2013 SBC pitcher of the year Jordan Wallace, and Sun Belt Conference player of the year Lexie Elkins will all help shape a talented roster next season.
