Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun punter Daniel Cadona  has had a week of personal accolades. He was named the Ray Guy National Punter of the Week on Tuesday, and received 3 more awards the day prior. (LSWA special teams player of the week, Sun Belt Conference special teams POW, College Football Performance Awards National Punter of the Week)

Cadona currently ranks fourth nationally in average yards per punt (49.3). In the season opening victory over Southern, he booted a 77-yarder which currently ranks as the longest in all of FBS this season.

Despite the success, the native of Darwin, Australia, would rather sit on the sideline and not punt if it means his team is scoring points. The senior answered questions this week about his personal success, how much his game has grown in the last two years, what his mindset is each time he enters the field and more.
