Cajun Hoops Announces First Signee of Fall Period

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team today announced their first signee of the fall signing period, inking 6-2 guard Herman Williams of Marianna, FL to a national letter of intent.

According to the release by UL Sports Information, Williams received offers from Tennessee, Mississippi State, South Florida, South Alabama and Middle Tennessee and drew interest from FIU and Murray State.

The 6-2 guard averaged 29 points, seven rebounds and four assists last season before missing the final seven games of the season because of injury.

The Cajuns open their 2015-16 season Friday night against Louisiana College at the Cajundome.  Tipoff is set for 7:05pm and will be heard on Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com.
