Fans of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns basketball team have been able to listen to the broadcasts of games in a variety of ways.

ESPN1420 and Hot 107.9 (KHXT-FM) have been carrying the games all season long.  And, fans out of the area have been able to listen via the stations' websites (espn1420.com; 1079ishot.com).  Fans could also access the broadcasts on their iphone or smartphone by downloading the radioPup app absolutely free.

But, for the NCAA tournament, that changes.

Westwood One has an agreement with the NCAA for the exclusive network rights to the radio broadcasts of all March Madness games.  And, they also own exclusive streaming rights as well.

What does that mean for Cajun fans?

Well, you'll be able to hear the game live on terrestrial radio on Hot 107.9.  But as far as local radio is concerned, that's it.

The local broadcast, with Jay Walker calling the play-by-play, cannot be streamed over the internet in any form.

For those of you out of the area that normally listen, you may be able to pick up a station in your market that carries the Westwood One Broadcasts.

The Cajuns take on Creighton in second round action of the NCAA tournament this Friday in San Antonio.  Pregame on Hot 107.9 will be at approximately 1:40pm with tipoff scheduled for 2:10pm.
