Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team was supposed to host the McNeese State Cowboys on Wednesday night, but mother nature had other plans.

McNeese make the short trip to Lafayette as both teams were hoping to play, but heavy rainfall and lightning put the start time on hold before the game was eventually canceled all together.

Due to each team not having future dates this season that sync up, the contest will not be made up.

Louisiana (25-12) has won 13 of its last 16 and returns to Sun Belt action this weekend as they host Texas State in a 3 game conference series. First pitch Friday is set for 6:00.
