Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun junior second baseman Stefan Trosclair was recognized today as 3rd team All-American by D1 Baseball.

"I’m both proud and honored for Stefan to recognized for his accomplishments," head coach Tony Robichaux said in a University press release. "To be selected as one of the best players in the country at your position speaks to the kind of season that he had. This honor is great not only for him, but also for our team to earn this kind of recognition. Baseball is a sport that pays you back, and he is certainly getting paid back for the hard work and effort he had to put in."

Trosclair, also a first-team All-Sun Belt selection and 3rd team Louisville Slugger All-Amiercan, batted .338 on the season, with a team and conference high in homeruns (16) and RBI (53). He sported a .635 slugging percentage, good for 28th in the nation, while his 16 homers was 11th best in the country.

His grand slam in the 12th inning of theSun Belt Conference championship game against South Alabama helped propel Louisiana into the NCAA Tournament with the Sun Belt Conference automatic bid.
