New Orleans Saints fans agonized for three hours on Sunday as their team struggled to put away a Cleveland Browns squad that hasn't won an NFL regular season game in 631 days.

When the final second ticked off, the Saints had a 21-18 victory, while the Browns were in need of a new kicker.

Second year pro Zane Gonzalez missed 2 field goals and 2 extra points. His last miss would've tied the game and sent it to overtime.

Gonzalez, who was drafted by the Browns in the 7th round last year out of Arizona State, has been replaced, but not waived.

According to ESPN, Cleveland has signed rookie kicker Greg Joseph after trying out several kickers today.

Per ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Gonzalez is underdoing an MRI for a groin injury.

It's not known when or how long he's been dealing with the groin injury, but it's plausible it effected his kicking ability yesterday.

For Gonzalez, he could be waived with an injury designation, placed on injured reserve, or reach an injury settlement depending on the outcome of the MRI.

What won't occur is Gonzalez staying with the Browns and kicking this season.
