Garry Brodhead's Ragin' Cajuns already have ten wins on the season, but they want to pick up another pair of W's in the state of Georgia too.

Georgia Southern and Georgia State await, and if the Cajuns can manage a double dip they would strengthen their grip on the Sun Belt Conference. They will have to shake up a bad loss to Arkansas State that gave the Red Wolves the conference lead, but Brodhead's team seems to be blessed with short memories.

"That's the thing about those South Louisiana girls, they're fighters," Brodhead said. "When we're done with round one, go to round two."

The Cajuns are handling the first round well, and when they come back from Georgia they have five straight games at home to pull away from the rest of the conference before the tournament.

Keke Veal, Kia Wilridge and Jaylyn Gordon continue to carry the team's scoring load, and a little help from the post players would go a long way.

Simone Fields, Breionne Cooper and some other possible scorers on the block need to build their confidence, but the only way to do that is to feed them a little more. You can't make callouses without swinging the hammer a bit.

"Got to get them more touches...you can't score unless you get the ball," Brodhead said.

The two Georgia teams are only 2-6 in Sun Belt play, so the Cajuns have a real chance to get momentum rolling downhill before a long home stretch.
