In the past two days, the names Art Briles and Jim Mora, Jr. have been linked to the opening at the University of Texas.

Today, both coaches issued statements that they will remain at their respective schools.

Briles, the head coach at Baylor, was the most prominently mentioned.  The Austin American-Statesman had reported he would take the job if offered.

Instead, he'll stay in Waco, where Baylor is scheduled to open a $260 million dollar stadium next season.  In a statement released by the school, Briles said he was "honored" to be the head coach at Baylor.

Meanwhile, Mora also put to rest the rumors he might be headed to Texas.  The UCLA coach said he was "committed" to the Bruins program.  Mora is 19-8 at UCLA.
