The inter-city rivalry between #8 Xavier and Cincinnati turned ugly Saturday, with the game called by officials with 9.4 second left in the Muskateers' 76-53 win.

A brawl broke out and punches were thrown after jawing during the game reached a violent stage at the end of the game.

Cincinnati's Yancy Gates punched Kenny Frease and Landon Amos and is sure to draw a suspension following the incident.

But he may not be the only one.

Officials will look at the tape to see if anyone else threw punches.  Per NCAA-rules, those players would get an automatic suspension.

But that could be extended by Big East and Atlantic-10 officials.

Cincinnati coach  Mick Cronin said after the game he had never been so embarassed and would decide later who from his club remains on the team.
