Bonds guilty of obstruction of justice

Baseball’s home run king was convicted yesterday of obstruction of justice after giving a rambling response to a grand jury when asked if he had received drugs that required a syringe.
But Barry Bonds other three charges of perjury ended in a mistrial when jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict. They were leaning toward aquittal on two of the charges, and were deadlocked 11-1 in favor of a guilty verdict on the third.
Bonds could face jail time, although the judge in the case has ordered home confinement in similar cases in the past.
