Bobby Valentine: Ambassador to Japan?

Is Bobby Valentine really on President-Elect Donald Trump's radar to be the U. S. Ambassador to Japan?

CBSSports.com is citing a report by WEEI.com in Boston that Valentine might be on the President-Elect's radar and has discussed the possibility with Trump's transition team.

Valentine was a very popular and successful manager in Japan from 2004-09, becoming the first American manager to win the title in Japan.  He also is reportedly friendly with Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who, like Valentine, attended the University of Southern California.
