Ragin' Cajun SS Blake Trahan is matched up with LSU's Alex Bregman in the Baton Rouge Super Regional, but he doesn't see it that way.

Sure, Trahan and Bregman are two of the top talents at the shortstop position. MLB scouts will be paying attention to the Super Regional at Alex Box Stadium with close attention to detail. It's nice to compare the two side-by-side in a real game situation, but Trahan made it very clear that it's about the two teams, not the two guys who played some ball together for Team USA.

Trahan admitted he and Bregman have been in contact and have remained friendly, but their two teams are vying for a spot to Omaha. They might make each other laugh once or twice, if one of them is standing on second base. Other than that, it's really going to be about who's pitching to them or whether they can field a ground ball cleanly for the inning ending double-play. They won't be pitching to each other, so take the direct comparisons for what they are.

After addressing the Bregman conversation, Trahan also fielded questions about the MLB Draft, his reaction to the freshmen pitchers stepping up, and of course, how things might play out in Baton Rouge.

He might not be a senior, but BT is certainly one of the veteran leaders on Cajun Baseball. Not to mention he has some serious swagger.
