A former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun baseball star got the long-awaited call he'd been dreaming about on Saturday.

A native of Kinder, La., Trahan, the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, hit a .245, to go along with two home runs and 31 runs batted in over the course of 129 games this season for Louisville, the Reds' AAA affiliate.

A 3rd-round draft choice of the Reds in 2015, Trahan has hit a .249, to go along with 9 home runs, 120 runs batted in, and 53 stolen bases over four seasons in the minor leagues.

Congratulations Blake! We wish you the best of luck in Cincinnati!
