Head Coach Gene Keady of the Purdue Boilermakers greets Big 10 Commissioner James E. Delany as Keady was honored prior to Purdue’s game against the Iowa Hawkeyes during the first day of the Big Ten Men’s Conference Basketball Tournament March 10, 2005 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The game proved to be Keady’s last game as a coach since Purdue went on to lose to Iowa and Keady is set to retire following the end of the season.

Jim Delany calls the Nebraska Cornhuskers the Green Bay Packers of the Big Ten.

The Big Ten commissioner said Wednesday that the Big Ten’s attraction to Nebraska went beyond geography and a shared culture with member schools.
