Since the 1990's slugger Frank Thomas has been an outspoken opponent of steriods and performance enhancing drugs.

And, after appearing with Hall of Famers in charity events, it's become clear to them how those hallowed players feel about opening their doors to PED users.

Just say no.

Thomas will be eligible for the Hall of Fame for the first time when ballots go out in December, joining the likes of Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine as first timers.  Despite the writers' reluctance to vote for anyone (at least on the first ballot) with gaudy power numbers, they are likely to look more kindly on Thomas because of his consistent stance against PED use.

Thomas called the recent Biogenesis scandal "embarsssing" for the game.
