All summer long, we're going to list the best players in New Orleans Saints history to wear every number, 00-99.

Today, #00:

The pick: Kenny Burrough

Burrough wins this one by default, as he's the only former Saints player I could find that wore #00.

It's not that Burrough wasn't a solid NFL receiver, just that most of his success came when he left New Orleans.

The Saints selected Burrough with the 10th-overall selection of the 1970 NFL Draft out of Texas Southern.

The Jacksonville, Florida native played in 12 games for the Saints in 1970, compiling 13 catches for 196 yards and two touchdowns.

A 6-foot-3, 215-punder, Burrough moved on to the Houston Oilers in 1971, and remained until 1981, where he was a two-time Pro Bowl selection in 1975 and 1977.

Over his 11-year career, only one with the Saints, Burrough totaled 421 receptions for 7,102 yards and 49 touchdowns.
