The pick: Stan Brock

When deciding who is the best New Orleans Saints player to ever wear #67, the choice is limited to offensive linemen John Shinner, Phil LaPorta, George Harvey, Bob Kuziel, John Watson, Stan Brock, Andy McCollum, Bubba Miller, and Jamar Nesbit.

Our selection is going to be Brock, an offensive lineman, who played for the Saints for 13 years, from 1980-1992.

After playing his college football at Colorado, Brock was drafted by the Saints in the first round of the 1980 NFL Draft.

A native of Portland, Oregon, Brock made an immediate impact, starting at right tackle for 12 games in his rookie season.

The 6-foot-6, 295-pound Brock went on to start at right tackle over the next 12 years, including 10 seasons in which he started every game.

Brock left the Saints following the 1992 season, joining the San Diego Chargers, with whom he played three seasons, before retiring.

In 13 seasons with the Saints, Brock appeared in 186 games, including 182 as a starter.

In 16 NFL seasons, Brock appeared in 234 games, including 223 as a starter.

Following his playing days, Brock served as the Saints radio analyst, replacing Archie Manning in that role, while also serving as a head coach in the Arena Football League, and at Army.
