Baltimore Orioles Clinch American League East Crown

The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 8-2, on Tuesday night, helping them clinch the American League East title, their first since 1997.

Following that 1997 season, the Orioles went 14 years without making the postseason, until 2012, and have now qualified for the postseason for the second time in three years.

Baltimore, at 91-60, has the second-best record in the AL, trailing only the Los Angeles Angels, who are 94-57.
