Scott Prather

I’ve been with ESPN1420 for over nine years. In addition to hosting the Great S.C.O.T.T. show every weekday from 5-6 and the Sports Gap from 4-5, I serve as the brand manager and program director. While sports is my passion, I always try to remember why I got into this business. Sports is fun. Sometimes it’s serious, sometimes it’s lighthearted, but if you’re not having fun working in sports, then you’re doing something wrong. I have on many guests, ranging from professional athletes such as Thomas Morstead, Roman Harper, Charles Tillman, Tyson Chandler and Anthony Davis, to Saints and Pelicans correspondent Gus Kattengell, as well as local sports radio personalities and journalists. You can hear me doing play by play for UL baseball and softball when filling in for Jay or Steve. As a proud graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans, I got my start in radio working part time as a board operator, producer, and sports personality for Entercom broadcasting in New Orleans.

Last night, the New Orleans Saints competed in Ben Grubbs' charity softball game at Zephyr field. Yesterday, Roman Harper told us on the Great S.C.OT.T. show that the New Orleans defensive team wasn't great in the outfield. He might have changed his mind after this amazing catch last night by Saints cornerback...

Hunter Catches Bird With One Hand, Colt McCoy Impressed [Video]

I've never known a bird to fly right at a hunter, but this video certainly looks real. Quarterback Colt McCoy is hanging out in the video as well. He probably wishes the Cleveland Brown wide receivers could catch the ball like his buddy catches the bird...at least back when he played in Cleveland.

Classless LA Kings Reporter Congrats Matthew Perry On Show Cancellation, Twice [Video]

When a sports fan complains about a sideline reporter, it usually has to do with an inability to ask the coach something of worth. However, this knucklehead for the LA Kings stoops to a low level, giving sports fans one of the dumbest and most classless moments in sideline reporting history.
