Scott Prather

Scott Prather has been with ESPN 1420 for over eight years. In addition to hosting a daily sports talk show, he serves as the brand manager and program director. Scott is known for his sometimes serious, and sometimes farcical look at sports. All listeners are entertained by Scott's peculiar, informative, and adamant look at sports. Scott has on many guests, ranging from professional athletes such as Roman Harper, Charles Tillman and Tyson Chandler, to Saints and Pelicans correspondent Gus Kattengail, as well as local sports radio personalities and journalists. Scott is also the lead producer for all UL sporting events broadcast on ESPN 1420. He often does sideline reporting for UL football during the overlap of college basketball and football season. Scott can be heard doing play by play for UL baseball and softball when filling in for Jay or Steve. Scott is a proud graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans, and got his start in radio working part time as a board operator, producer, and sports personality for Entercom broadcasting in New Orleans.

Hawks Handle Hornets

The New Orleans Hornets followed their best performance of the season with their worst. After defeating the Orlando Magic by 26 on Friday, the Hornets were handled at home by the Atlanta Hawks Sunday night by the score of 94-72. New Orleans shot a dismal 37.5% from the field.

Cajuns Pick Up Road Win Over ULM

Louisiana's Ragin’ Cajuns men’s basketball team used a 13-0 run in the second half to overcome a scrappy ULM Warhawk team Saturday afternoon at Fant-Ewing Coliseum in Monroe. UL went on to win 67-60 to stay within striking distance for the Sun Belt West division lead. With the victory, Bob Marlin's squad moved above .500 (12-11, 6-3 Sun Belt).

LSU Drummed By Top Ranked Kentucky

The LSU Tigers welcomed the #1 ranked Kentucky Wildcats to the P-MAC Saturday afternoon. It was the third consecutive ranked opponent for the Tigers, and it resulted in a third straight defeat. Kentucky was too much to handle for LSU, burying them by the score of 74-50.

UL Women Lose At ULM 66-35

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball teams fell on the road to ULM this afternoon by the score of 66-35. In the final 25 minutes of play, the Warhawks outscored the Cajuns 48-19. With the loss, Errol Rogers' squad falls to 0-9 in SBC play, and 5-16 overall.
