Arkansas Sends Texas Tech to Loser’s Bracket

Arkansas jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and went on to defeat Texas Tech, 7-4, sending the Red Raiders to the loser's bracket.

The Razorbacks got a two run double from Dominic Fletcher in the first inning and the sophomore added a solo homer in the fourth and an RBI single in the eighth inning.  Jared Gates also homered for Arkansas.

Barrett Loeske pitched 3.0 innings of two hit baseball with five strikeouts to get the win in relief of Kacey Murphy, who allowed two runs in 4.2 innings.

The two homers for Arkansas gives them 97 on the season.

The Razorbacks will now play the winner of Thursday's game between Texas Tech and Florida.
