New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis underwent knee surgery this morning and the team released the full medical report from the surgeon. (View it here)

It was insinuated last week Davis would have a surgery on his left knee as well as a labrum tear he suffered in his shoulder three years ago.

However, Dr. Neal ElAttrache reports Davis did not need shoulder surgery as the soreness caused by the labrum tear is mild and infrequent.

Davis' knee surgery was successful. The expected recovery time is 3 to 4 months, according to the Pelicans.

The procedure was somewhat non-invasive, repairing a stress reaction in his patella tendon.

Worth noting is the Pelicans releasing the full medical report from his surgery. The franchise has typically been private and vague about player injuries in the past.
