Alex Rodriguez

Sports Illustrated recently conducted of poll of 232 MLB players, asking them to name the phoniest player in the game.

To no one’s surprise, New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez was the runaway winner.

Rodriguez received 26% of the vote, followed by teammate Nick Swisher, with 14%. Outfielder Nyjer Morgan, of the Milwaukee Brewers, got 11% of the vote, while San Francisco Giants’ pitcher Brian ilson received 9%, and Cincinnati Reds’ second baseman Brandon Phillips received 5%.

As I mentioned, it’s not a surprise to me. Rodriguez is not a real beloved player, by either players or fans.
