The Alabama Crimson Tide top the third College Football Playoff rankings which were released on Tuesday night.

Alabama, who has been the top team in the AP poll all year, was #2 in the first two editions of the College Football Playoff rankings.

Clemson, the defending national champions, is up to #2 this week, while Miami, following their impressive win over Notre Dame last week, is #3 this week.

Oklahoma is up one spot, to #4 this week.

Georgia, who was the top team last week, along with Notre Dame, who was third, both fell out of the top four, following losses last week.

A new College Football Playoff ranking will be released weekly until after the conference championship games, set for Dec. 2. From there, the top four teams will be placed in the playoff semifinal games, which are set for January 1, in the Sugar and Rose bowl games.

The College Football Playoff championship will be January 8 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

5-10 consists of Auburn, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Penn St..

The LSU Tigers are #20 in this week's rankings.
