The Alabama Crimson Tide sits atop the SEC Media Days Preseason Poll, which was released on Thursday.

243 media members, an all-time high, voted on the preseason poll, as well as the 2013 Preseason Media Days All-SEC Team.

Alabama, the two-time defending national champions, who have won three national titles in the last four years, were picked to win the league by 182 of the  243 voters. The Georgia Bulldogs finished second with 38 votes, followed by South Carolina with 18, Texas A&M with four, and LSU with one.

The Tigers were picked third in the SEC West, behind Alabama and Texas A&M, receiving seven first-place votes in the SEC West, and one first-place vote, overall.

In the west, media members like Alabama, followed by Texas A&M, LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Mississippi St., and Arkansas.

In the east, Georgia is picked on top, followed by South Carolina, Florida, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Missouri, and Kentucky.

Meanwhile, nine players, and one specialist from LSU headline the Preseason All-SEC team, with defensive lineman Anthony Johnson and defensive back Craig Loston tabbed to the first team defensive unit.
