Alabama Leads the Way in AP Preseason Poll

The Preseason AP Poll is out and it looks a lot like the coaches' poll.

Alabama leads the way.

The Crimson Tide got 33 first place votes, outdistancing Clemson, who had 16 first place votes.  Oklahoma (4) was third, and Florida State (6) was fourth.  LSU, Ohio State and Michigan were ranked 5-7, with each school getting one first place vote.

Stanford, Tennessee and Notre Dame rounded out the top ten.

Ole Miss (11), Georgia (18) and Florida (25) were the other schools from the Southeastern Conference in the Preseason Top 25.

The SEC's six schools were the most for any conference.  The Pac-12 had 5, The ACC, Big 10 and Big 12 had four schools each.

Houston was the only school from a non-power conference to be ranked.  The Cougars checked in at #15.
