Adam Wainwright…meet Tommy John
St. Louis Cardinals’ right hander Adam Wainwright will have Tommy John surgery, which will require the 20-game winner to miss the 2011 season.
Wainwright experience soreness Wednesday. At the time, team doctors said the prognosis was “not encouraging.” Further tests revealed a tear in the ligament.
