The following is a game preview of the first round playoff matchup between Acadiana and Comeaux, written by the voice of the Acadiana Wreckin’ Rams, James P. Bitterman.

The Acadiana Wreckin' Rams (9-1) closed out their regular season with a 34-2 victory over the Lafayette High Mighty Lions (0-10).

In the win, the Rams rolled up 384 yards of total offense, led by Lucky Brooks' 75 yards rushing and Jaylon Borel's 113 yards passing.

As they have in eight of nine games this year, the Terrible Turk defense once again held an opponent to less than 300 yards total offense. In fact, it was the Turk's fourth game holding an opponent to less than 200 yards of total offense.

Unfortunately, the injury bug hit the Wreckin' Rams again. Rams nation is intereste to see who is able to play this week as the playoffs begin.

A familiar foe comes to Bill Dotson Stadium for the first round of playoff action, as the district 3-5A rival Comeaux Spartans call upon the Rams. Acadiana was successful in the district contest at Comeaux earlier this season, rolling up 478 yards of total offense and holding the Spartans to 222 yards of total offense. Another sharp effort like that would serve the Rams well if they hope to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Acadiana will recognize 23 seniors before the game. The original Senior Night was cancelled due to LaGrange having to forfeit. Fans should make plans to get to the stadium early and honor these seniors. I'm sure they would greatly appreciate it.

The pre game show starts at 6:02 p.m. and kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. All the playoff action can be heard over the air in the Acadiana area on the am dial at ESPN 1420, on the internet at espn1420.com and on the ESPN1420 app, which is free to download in the iTunes app store and Google play.

The winner of Comeaux vs Acadiana will play the winner of Walker vs Landry Walker in the second round of the playoffs next week.
