The following is a game preview of Acadiana vs Lafayette High, written by the voice of the Acadiana Wreckin’ Rams, James P. Bitterman.

At this point, it sounds like a broken record. Another week, another game coming down to the last offensive play...and another top rushing game in the history of Wreckin' Ram football.

The Wreckin' Rams (4-2, 3-0) and Comeaux Spartans (4-2, 1-2) hooked up in a back and forth game last Friday at Bill Dotson Stadium. The Wreckin' Rams scoried a late touchdown to take a 42-38 lead before the Terrible Turk defense came up with an interception to seal the victory.

Jaylen James had the third best rushing game in the history of AHS football as he rushed for 304 yards. The offensive linemen deserve credit as this is the second week in a row that a Wreckin' Ram running back had a top 10 all time rushing game. Wow!

This week the Lafayette High Mighty Lions (1-5, 0-2) come calling on the Rams. Certainly LHS' record is not where they want it to be, but they could put a big feather in their cap with a win over Acadiana. A team with nothing to lose is a very dangerous team. Acadaian fans are hopeful the Wreckin' Rams are focused after the Homecoming activities last week.

21 seniors will celebrate their final regular season home game on Friday night, hoping to celebrate it with a victory.

Acadiana is currently number 5 in the unofficial power ratings. The Rams must keep winning to get the best power rating possible.

The pre-game show will start at 6:02 p.m. and the kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m.  All the action can be heard over the air on ESPN1420, on the internet at espn1420.com and on the free smart phone app RadioPup.
