The Acadiana Wreckin' Rams (12-1) reached in to their bag of tricks and connected on a 59 yard touchdown pass on 3rd down and 30, to defeat the Live Oak Eagles (7-6) 17-14, last Friday night.

The Rams were in a battle all night, even though they outgained Live Oak 414-321, and ran 54 plays to Live Oak's 32.

Ziggy Francis', who threw a halfback pass to Larryl Greene, led the Rams in passing, with 59 yards and a touchdown; while Dillon Monette carried the ball 20 times for 263 yards.  Francis also finished with 84 yards rushing on 20 carries, including a touchdown.

This week, the Wreckin' Rams host the Hahnville Tigers (11-2), who feature the top running back in the state, Anthony "Pooka" Williams.

Williams goes 5'7" and weighs 170 pounds, but he is something to see.  In 3 playoff games this year, Pooka has 910 yards rushing and 9 touchdowns.

Williams is a threat to go the distance on every play, while also returning kicks, so the Rams will have to make sure they wrap up and bring him to the ground every time he touches the ball.

On the line is a berth in the State Championship Game next Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the Mercedes Benz Superdome.

A couple of streaks the Rams have going for them are; they are 25-0 at Bill Dotson Stadium under Coach Davidson, and 6-0 all time in State Semi-Final games under Coach Davidson.

Can the Wreckin' Rams extend both streaks?

The pre-game show starts at 6:02 p.m. and the game starts at 7:00 p.m.
