The following is a game preview of Acadiana vs Comeaux, written by the voice of the Acadiana Wreckin’ Rams, James P. Bitterman.

Another week and another game that came down to the last offensive play.  Once again the Terrible Turk defense was able to make a stop, and the Wreckin' Rams (3-2, 2-0) secured a 35-28 victory over Sulphur (4-1, 1-1).

Sparking the Veer Machine was freshman running back Dillion Monette who saw his first action of the year at the varsity level and rushed for 266 yards on 23 carries.  Monette's effort ranks as the seventh best rushing game in the history of Acadiana Wreckin' Ram football.

This week the Wreckin' Rams celebrate homecoming, and a homecoming it is for Comeaux Spartans head coach Doug Dotson. Acadiana's football stadium is named for his father. For Comeaux quarter Brett Dotson, the stadium is named for his grandfather. He leads the  Spartans (4-1, 1-1) in to Bill Dotson Stadium Friday night for a giant District 3-5A showdown.

The Spartans are led by Brett Dotson's 810 yards passing and 8 touchdowns on the season. Wide Receiver Tanarious Achan (465 yards receiving, 3 touchdowns) along with running backs Tiki Pascual (433 yards rushing, 10 touchdowns) and Gabe Ardoin (348 yards rushing and 8 touchdowns) help drive Comeaux's offensive attack.

Another factor worth considering is Coach Dotson's obvious familiarity with the veer offense.  Thus, the Wreckin' Rams have their work cut out for them again this week.  Let's hope it's a happy Homecoming.

Next week the Wreckin' Rams will celebrate Senior Night as they play their final home game of the regular season versus the Lafayette High Mighty Lions. They hope to be riding a nice winning streak heading into that matchup.

The pre-game show will start at 6:02 p.m. and the kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m.  All the action can be heard over the air on ESPN1420, on the internet at espn1420.com and on the free smart phone app RadioPup.
