The Acadiana Wreckin’ Rams, (3-2, 2-0) led by two paris of touchdowns from Ziggy Francis and Jayrin Wilson, along with a Jayrin Wilson interception return, were able to hold off the Sulphur Golden Tornadoes, (3-2, 1-1) for a 32-30 win last Friday night at Bill Dotson Stadium.

Speaking of Dotson, Acadiana will see a gentleman who Ram fans saw grow up and play for the Wreckin’ Rams, Doug Dotson, when the Wreckin’ Rams travel to play the Comeaux Spartans who are coached by Doug.

The Spartans are led at quarterback by Brett Dotson, Doug's son, along with Tanarious Achan at wide receiver, and running backs Kiki Pascual and Justin Martin.  The Spartans run multiple offensive sets, including the veer.

Wins are critical at this time of the year as the Wreckin’ Rams fight to get in the top 16 of the power rankings to ensure they can host at least one home playoff game.

The unofficial power ratings as reported on Louisiana Sportsline for 5A football for district 3 5A look like this:
