All employees have basic rights. We can't be chained to our desks or held as indentured servants, for example. But do we actually know enough when it comes to the federal laws that govern our workplaces? You may have rights you didn’t know you had, particularly when it comes to getting hired.
The economy is continuing its long, slow recovery from the massive financial crisis and recession just a few years ago, and the labor market is improving. But one problem above all can prevent you from getting a new job: If you've been out of work for six months or more, it makes it much harder to get hired. We've gathered a few ways to help you navigate this problem:
Some will call this a slow weekend, but it may be better to think of it as the calm before the storm. Next week, the summer movie season begins and people are saving their pennies for 'Iron Man 3,' so it's not really surprising that this was an uneventful couple of days at the multiplex. At least the folks behind 'Pain and Gain' can be glad that their film led an otherwise quiet weekend.

Eventually, the popular opinion on zombies is going to shift and people are going to stop watching 'The Walking Dead' and buying zombie-themed video games, but that day is not today. People still love zombies and if the opening weekend is any indication, they love 'Warm Bodies.'
When you think of the possible candidates for "Most Pirated Movie of 2012: (a dubious honor, to be sure), a few titles instantly spring to mind: 'The Avengers', 'The Dark Knight Rises', 'The Amazing Spider-Man', to name a few. But oddly enough, none of those major blockbusters top the list. No, the film that was pirated the most is one that, at this stage of the year, is something of an afterthought.

Sadly, we’ve come to the end of another exciting regular season in college football. Unless you are Notre Dame or Alabama, you are left wondering what might have been. Yet, despite the sadness inherent in the end of the season, there was still a lot of excitement this week—and of course bowl season still ahead of us.
