The 8th seeded Philadelphia 76ers refuse to go away. Tuesday night in front of their home crowd, they topped the Boston Celtics 82-75, forcing a decisive Game 7 in their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup.

Jrue Holiday (pictured left) made the Philly fans feel like it was a Holiday with his play, finishing with 20 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals. The veteran Elton Brand chipped in with a double-double of 13 points and 10 boards.

However, all things weren’t pretty for the winning team. Doug Collins‘ squad missed 8 of their 9 three-point attempts, shot a woeful 60% from the free throw line, and turned it over 12 times. Despite that, their defensive effort helped to push this series to the brink.

As bad as Philly’s numbers were, they were the winning team for a reason. Boston’s numbers were awful all the way around (with the exception of two players). The Celtics shot a measly 33% from the field, were 3-14 from three point range, and had 17 turnovers.

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett were the lone bright spots for Boston in the loss. Both finished with double-doubles. Pierce with 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Garnett with 20 points and 11 boards.

Game 7 is set for Saturday in Boston.
