Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns have not played a weekend series away from home since St. Patrick's Day weekend, but that will change this weekend as they travel to Troy, AL to take on the Troy Trojans (16-13, 4-4 Sun Belt) in a three game Sun Belt Conference Series at Riddle-Pace Field.

Louisiana (27-3, 8-1 Sun Belt) is ranked in the top five in every major college baseball poll, including a #2 ranking by Collegiate Baseball.  This will be the 33rd meeting between the two teams with the Cajuns holding a 20-12 edge.  The teams are 5-5 in games played at Riddle-Pace.

The Cajuns will be the highest ranked team ever hosted by Troy

According to the information supplied by UL Sports Information, right hander Austin Robichaux (4-2. 2.92 ERA) will get the Friday start for the Cajuns.  He'll be opposed by Troy right-hander Tanner Hicks (2-4, 3.35). Game time is at 6pm.

Saturday's game will be televised on the Sun Belt Network at 3:05.  Carson Baranik (5-0, 2.28 will be opposed by lefty Shane McCain (3-2, 1.93).

On Sunday, lefty Cody Boutte (3-0, 4.61) is slated to go up against Troy's Ben Tidwell (0-0, 3.42).

The Cajuns are ranked either first or second in every major statistical category in the conference.  Troy has had double digit hits in their last six games and the Trojans are hitting .364 as a team during that stretch.

The weather could be a factor in the series, as rain is in the forecast for both Friday and Sunday.  Riddle-Pace Field, like M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field, has an artificial surface.

All three games will be broadcast on News/Talk 96.5 KPEL-FM.
