The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, riding an eight game winning streak to a #10 ranking in the Baseball America Poll, entertains an SEC opponent for the first time ever in a weekend series as they entertain #21 Alabama (4-3) in game one of a three game series beginning tonight at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field.  First pitch is scheduled for 6pm.

Ironically, Alabama was also the first SEC program to travel to Lafayette in the modern era for football, visiting Cajun Field in 1990.

This begins a seven game homestand for the Cajuns (8-1) , who entertain Southeastern Louisiana Wednesday night before meeting Texas Southern at "The Tigue" next weekend.

Junior right-hander Austin Robichaux (1-1, 2.25 ERA) will get the start for Louisiana.  Spencer Turnbull, (0-0, 1.12) also a righty, gets the start for Mitch Gaspard's club. The Cajuns are hitting .274 as a team and carry a 2.59 team ERA into the weekend.  The Tide hits .239 as a club, but has a sparkling 1.48 team ERA.  All three of Alabama's losses have come by 2-1 margins.
